Power Loss Protection Power Management Unit with integrated high current Bucks and Buck-Boost converters and LDO for enterprise SSDs application

The ACT85411 is a highly integrated, highly configurable multiple output power management IC (PMIC) with built-in power loss protection (PLP). Two high-efficiency buck regulators can supply up to 12 A of peak current and up to 10A of continuous output current. Both buck converters' output voltage is programmable between 0.6 V and 5.26 V. The device also has a 12 V buck-boost converter with a programmable output range of 9.6 V to 15.95 V. The ACT85411 also includes a specialized LDO. The input power supply for the LDO is selectable between either the VCC (5.0V) output of the ACT85411 or the VAUX input pin. A dedicated mini-buck regulator converts the input 12 V supply to generate a 5.0V output on VCC. The power loss protection or PLP circuitry provides backup storage power in the event of an input power failure. A built-in Boost converter provides high-voltage energy storage to minimize storage capacitor size requirements.

The ACT85411 is a highly integrated, highly configurable multiple output power management IC (PMIC) with built-in power loss protection (PLP).
